LA MAR CONSTRUCTION _LLC (LA MAR) is a general construction company created on September 25, 2003, which includes engineers, supervisors, administrative and field personnel. LA MAR was organized as a corporation under the laws of the Commonwealth of P.R. The founders, Eng. Neftalí Lluch and Eng. Eduardo Martínez Suárez created LA MAR while working at N.LL. Construction, _S.E. NLL Construction, _S.E. was a successful general contractor company, established in 1988, which performed a wide variety of residential, commercial, and institutional projects in the southwestern part of the island.

Since its beginning, LA MAR has grown and gained strength through the development of On-Time and cost-effective solutions to clients’ requirements regardless of job difficulty. Letters of recommendation from our clients, illustrate the confidence that major industry leaders and government officials place in our capabilities to manage the construction of their facilities. LA MAR has performed construction services, often on a fast track basis, for the Department of Housing, Public Housing Administration, Infrastructure Financing Authority (AFI) and several private developers. On September 30, 2004, Eng. Eduardo Martínez bought the shares owned by Eng. Lluch in the corporation, becoming the sole owner of La Mar Construction _^LLC.

ENG. EDUARDO MARTINEZ SUAREZ – PRESIDENT

Engineer Eduardo Martínez Suárez, one of the founders, has a B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Puerto Rico, Mayagüez Campus, Mayagüez, Puerto Rico.  Eng. Martínez, a licensed engineer in Puerto Rico, worked for N. LL. Construction, S.E. as a Project Manager for nine years before becoming the sole owner of La Mar Construction LLC. His wide experience in managing, planning, scheduling, engineering and supervising complex construction projects is an extraordinary asset for LA MAR.

SERGIO GONZALEZ GUILLOTY – PROJECT MANAGER

Engineer Sergio González started with our company in June 2006 and has a B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Puerto Rico, Mayagüez Campus, Mayagüez, P.R.  Eng. González is a licensed engineer in Puerto Rico.  His experience in managing, planning, scheduling and supervising complex construction projects as a General Manager in companies as Caribe Tecno and Renova Construction is a valuable resource for LA MAR Construction LLC.

EFRAIN AYALA – ENGINEER

Engineer Efraín Ayala works as Project Engineer. He has a B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Puerto Rico, Mayagüez Campus, Mayagüez, Puerto Rico. He has been working for LA MAR since 2004 and previously worked for N.LL Construction, SE.

HECTOR R. POMALES – ENGINEER

Engineer Héctor Pomales works as Project Engineer.  He has a B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Puerto Rico, Mayagüez Campus, Mayagüez, Puerto Rico. He has been working for LA MAR since 2004 and previously worked for N.LL Construction, SE.

LUIS NAZARIO – PROJECT SUPERINTENDENT

Mr. Nazario has over forty years of experience in the construction industry.  He has been working for LA MAR since 2004 and previously worked for N.LL Construction, SE.

EDWIN MONTES – PROJECT SUPERINTENDENT

Mr. Montes has over twenty five years of experience in the construction industry. He has been working for LA MAR since 2004 and previously worked for N.LL Construction, SE.

ISRAEL TORRES – PROJECT SUPERINTENDENT

Mr. Torres has over twenty years of experience in the construction industry. He has been working for LA MAR since 2004 and previously worked for N.LL Construction, SE.

EMILIO PACHECO – EQUIPMENT COORDINATOR

Emilio Pacheco is in charge of all heavy machinery maintenance including the coordination of all equipment movement to our different projects.

ASTRID PATRICIA ARROYO – EXECUTIVE SECRETARY
Astrid Patricia Arroyo is in charge of all aspects of secretarial work done in the Administration Office, Accounting, Purchasing and Payroll Departments. She has a B.S. Degree in Business Administration from the University of Puerto Rico, Mayagüez Campus, Mayagüez, Puerto Rico, with a major in Industrial Management and an Associate Degree in Secretarial Science from the Interamerican University of Puerto Rico, San Germán Campus, San Germán, Puerto Rico.

ADALBERTO SEGARRA – ACCOUNTANT
Adalberto Segarra is in charge of all the computerized accounting activities including Monthly Financial Statements and other reports. He holds a B.S. Degree in Industrial Management and Human Resources with a minor in Accounting, from the University of PR at Mayagüez Campus.

JOSE A. ORTIZ – PURCHASER

José A. Ortiz in charge of all the Accounts Payable Cycle, including purchasing activities. He has a Bachelor’s Degree from the Interamerican University of Puerto Rico, San Germán Campus, San Germán, Puerto Rico.
